The Beauty Found in Flowers
Everything has beauty. Everything. In some cases, the beauty of a person, object or situation is apparent instantly. Sometimes, you must search long and hard to find a glimmer of beauty. And sometimes the beauty doesn’t appear until well after hardships and ashes.
Before a flower reaches its full potential and beauty, it has to first start as a seed, then push through dirt to sprout, find nourishment, and continue to grow, and grow… and grow.
In life we can experience phases that are similar to what the flower goes through. We may find ourselves right in the midst of a challenging time, with seemingly nowhere to turn. It may seem dark, and it may seem like nothing productive or positive is happening. That darkness and hardship may last for a while. And, we eventually come to the realization that we may have to work tirelessly to push through those hard times.
However, we can indeed find refuge, rest, and nourishment through our faith in Jesus. We must pray for the Lord to guide our footsteps, and to give us strength. Scripture says “Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.” (Proverbs 4:25-26 NIV) With God, all things are possible. In Christ, you CAN overcome the obstacles in your life! Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” (1 John 5:5 NIV)
As sunlit and peaceful moments appear, take special care to recognize how the grace, goodness and love of God keeps us as Believers in Christ. God took special care in clothing the lilies of the field. He will definitely take care of you. Lean on the Word of our sovereign God. Always allow God to lead your path. In your faith and relationship in Jesus Christ, continue to grow, and grow… and grow.
“…Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6 NIV)
